Apollo: the UF&Shands Enterprise WordPress Theme
The new UF&Shands Enterprise theme is the result of thousands of hours of research, discussion, and consultation between web services and dozens of communicators, faculty, leaders, and staff throughout the Health Science Center Colleges, Institutes and Centers, and Shands HealthCare. This enterprise theme will allow every unit within the UF Academic Health Center the opportunity to build on and share the strengths of the UF&Shands brand, and leverage powerful technical capabilities built into it.
In The Works

UFandShands.org
Web Services is currently hard at work on building a new website to serve as the central face for the UF Academic Health Center. The new UFandShands.org brings a patient-focused presence to the web and will provide a richer, more interactive experience for patients, allowing them to accomplish a number of tasks directly through the web site. The website will tie in health provider information, locations, clinical trials, and medical information into a centralized data repository that will make it easier than ever for both potential and current patients to find the information relevant to their health care needs.
Previous Projects
Clinical and Translational Science Institute
The CTSI, founded in 2008 to improve human health by transforming the university’s ability to conduct clinical and translational research, was in need of a website redesign and overhaul. Web Services designed a new visual concept and developed that concept into a fully functioning WordPress theme. Some unique features include a mega drop down menu, VIVO profile linking, and a rich news room experience. Visit website
Health Science Center News & Communications
Covering the news and research discoveries of six colleges, six major research institutes and centers, and a hospital system is no easy task. Health Science Center News and Communications needed a robust, easy-to-manage platform that could quickly deploy news stories at a moment’s notice. Web Services developed a customized WordPress theme that utilized several editorial and news based plug-ins. Visit website
