Copyright warning: avoid legal risks
When creating or updating your site’s content, it’s essential to protect against copyright infringement. Using someone else’s work without proper permission or payment can lead to significant legal and financial consequences. For example, one department recently faced over $38,000 in legal fees due to unauthorized use of copyrighted material. To avoid such issues, ensure any content you add to your site—whether it’s an image, PDF, text, or other media—is either created by you, properly licensed, or used with explicit permission from the owner. This simple step helps protect your department from unnecessary risks and liabilities.

Insight on a recent change for email security
Dealing with spam emails can be challenging for large organizations and their users. Spam clutters inboxes and increases the risk of phishing attacks, which can compromise personal or company data. To address this, major email platforms like Gmail, Microsoft 365, and Yahoo! have recently updated their spam filters to be more aggressive in blocking unwanted emails. As a result, senders must now take extra steps to automatically verify their messages before they reach inboxes. In a recent update to the Mailster platform and Gravity Forms plugin, we made the messages@ufhealth.org email the required sender email for those tools to help your newsletters and email notifications arrive in their intended inbox. But, what steps were involved with this change? If you are curious about the technical parts of this update, click the button below!
