Guidelines statement
All websites representing UF Health, (either in a clinical context, or academic as the University of Florida’s academic health center) must use the approved set of UF Health templates provided by UF Health web services.
In special circumstances, it might be appropriate to be exempted from this standard. Exemptions must be granted by UF Health web services and the UF Health Chief Marketing & Communications Officer.
Purpose
UF Health templates:
- Are optimized to be compliant to ADA WCAG 2.1 AA standards, which are federally mandated
- Built and tested to maximize page load speeds, internal categorization and linking, which are key factors in ranking in search engines
- Coded and consistently maintained using industry standards and best practices for usability
- Ensure a consistent look and feel for all sites within the UF Health system, reinforcing the brand and reputation of our academic health center
- Provide a standardized editing and publishing platform for staff with centralized support at no additional cost to the unit
- Are hosted in a centralized server environment with dedicated IT security resources and backups
