UF Health Web Services supports the clinical and academic missions of our health system. Our managers help to coordinate our efforts with senior leaders, physicians, and health care and education experts. Your ROLE
You would directly oversee the management of the web services team at UF Health Jacksonville. This team is part of the communications and marketing department of UF Health Jacksonville, but also reports to the Director of Web Services. You would work closely with the Associate Vice President of Communications and Marketing and the Director of Web Services in establishing a vision and strategy for the team.
The candidate will be responsible for the final review and optimization of content on major internal and external UF Health websites to maximize effectiveness for various audiences. This includes reviewing content for Search Engine Optimization (SEO), writing for the web, usability, 508 accessibility standards, broken-links, and other quality improvement measures, designing and creating optimization solutions that improve individual sites and can be applied across the enterprise.
Your rESPONSIBILITIES
Web Team Management
You will provide oversight, leadership and mentorship to members of the web services team. You would be responsible for establishing employee project expectations, developing and executing work plans, and in conducting employee evaluations.
Web Project Management
You will plan, develop, and deploy websites for UF Health Jacksonville. Working with subject matter experts, you’ll prepare web content that meets user needs and institutional goals. You will review progress, manages resources, and ensure overall quality of completed websites.
Search Engine Optimization
You will work closely with UF Health clients in finding opportunities to improve search engine result page rankings for strategic key words. Will perform search engine optimization (SEO) reviews to enhance UF Health’s website templates.
Website Usability Improvement
You’ll use various usability tools and techniques to design usability tests for UF Health websites to uncover issues our site visitors encounter. Based on that feedback, you’ll work with the team to designs solutions to improve the form and function of our sites.
Accessibility Compliance
You’ll ensure that UF health Jacksonville sites remain in compliance with university, state and federal accessibility standards. You’ll create audit plans designed to identify non-compliant sites and work closely with UF Health clients to bring their sites into compliance.
Analytics & Reporting
You’ll work with stakeholders to determine goals for measuring website effectiveness. Using Google Analytics, you’ll develop reports and dashboards and show clients how to use them to monitor their site’s performance. You’ll also consult with them on how to improve their sites based on this data.
End User Support
You will manage end user support questions related to our website. You’ll review commonly asked questions to make recommendations for training and website template improvements. You’ll participate and assist in creating end user training and group meetings.
Continuous Improvement
You’ll conduct research in web design to looks for new technologies that can improve site usability and productivity in developing and maintaining websites. You’ll review peer organization and other high-quality web sites to compare to UF Health standards to suggest improvements to our processes. You’ll regularly review important site use metrics and produce meaningful reports that speak to a business problem or opportunity.
