Transitioning your site to UFHealth

UF&Shands is now University of Florida Health.

The name UF Health represents the combined resources of the University of Florida Health Science Center and Shands health care system. It stands for the shared professional expertise and personal commitment of our 22,000-plus faculty and staff who work daily to improve quality of life and achieve outstanding outcomes for our patients and communities. And it encompasses our world-class patient care, research and education programs throughout Gainesville and Jacksonville.

This change comes as we mark the three-year anniversary of the Forward Together joint strategic plan, when our UF and Shands teams began working together under a common vision with shared goals. As we mark this milestone, we are more unified and have proved that together we form a stronger, more robust academic health center.

An Updated UF Health Web Presence

As you’ve no doubt noticed, the Apollo theme has gone through some small cosmetic changes to match the new UF Health brand. The colors are a little brighter, the logos have been updated, and the names of locations in the global navigation and in the footer have been updated. Web Services has also updated a few existing sites that were using the UF&Shands name in their tag lines to reflect the new naming conventions.

Over the last few months, we’ve gone through and updated the content of ufhealth.org and its satellite sites to reflect the changes. But making this change over 500 sites will take much more than just our team – it will take you.

Please take this opportunity to go through your sites and look for content and graphics that should be updated to match the new UF Health name.
